In 2022, the Publication Forum expert panels carried out a re-evaluation of JUFO levels 2 and 3. This report describes the implementation and main features of the 2023 classification.
Every four years, JUFO levels 2 and 3 are re-evaluated by the expert panels. This re-evaluation was carried out in 2022 and the updated classification entered into force in the beginning of 2023. This report describes the classification criteria, implementation of the re-evaluation, the characteristics of the 2023 classification and the key changes in university publishing in Finland in 2016-2021.
