About the articles

Last updated 10.1.2024

The Responsible Research Articles provide information on the processes behind research-based knowledge: the production, publication, and evaluation of research on the basis of reliable and responsible practices accepted in the research community. The material is created for Finnish circumstances and describes Finnish scientific research practices for a research community in Finland that is becoming increasingly international and also for researchers outside Finland’s borders.

The production of the articles began in the project called Vastuullinen tiede (Responsible Research) in 2018 by the Committee for Public Information (TJNK) and the Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK. The project was funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland. TJNK and TENK operate in conjunction with the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies.

These days the articles are produced as a joint venture by the Open Science Coordination in FinlandPublication ForumThe Committee for Public Information (TJNK), and Finnish National Board on Research Integrity TENK.  The publisher of articles is the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies. All of these bodies are funded by the Ministry of Education and Culture in Finland.
